PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Dear League Friends,

I hope you have had a wonderful summer with family and friends. It is time to start looking ahead at all the plans for our new year.

The first fun event is our annual Sip-n-Shop on Saturday, September 12 at J.McLaughlin on Main Street. The new Fall arrivals will be there, ready for you to try and buy. The League receives a portion of the sales between the hours of 11AM and 3PM. Join your friends in picking out just the right new outfits for the first concert.

The Musicale Team has been busy all summer finding just the right homes and the best musicians to entertain us. Stay tuned for more details as dates are finalized.

Are you volunteering for Swing Fore the Symphony this year? If not, you can always be a sponsor or get a ticket for the reception/auction after golf.

MUSICALES UPDATE

The League hosts exclusive Sunday afternoon Musicales from September through February for League members. to enjoy a wide range of musical offerings, delicious nibbles, and lively conversation. These popular events feature intimate musical performances hosted in local spaces and private homes, supporting the mission of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra. The 2025-2026 Musicales did not disappoint! The League hosted six Musicales, welcoming 300 attendees with musicians presenting music ranging from Mozart to psychodrama film scores.

Information for purchasing Musicales tickets will be emailed to members in mid-to-late September. Reservations will be managed on a first-come, first-served basis online only through the RunSign-up system.

Dates for the Musicales, which are all Sundays:
  – November 1 at Bostwick Pavilion in Moss Creek
  – December 6 
  – January 24 
  – February 21 
  – March 21
  – April 18

SWING FORE THE SYMPHONY

We are happy to announce Swing FORE the Symphony 2026, to benefit the
Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra. Our tournament this year will be NOVEMBER 2, 2026, AT WEXFORD GOLF CLUB. We will be returning to Wexford and its beautiful new clubhouse. As always, we will have a step-aside scramble format with adjusted tees for seniors and women. Then we will enjoy a wonderful reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open wine & beer bar, and a spectacular silent auction.

CONTRIBUTE, PARTICIPATE AND VOLUNTEER

Our success as a League is due in no small measure to you, our members volunteering for League activities and fundraising opportunities in support of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra. It takes a musical village! League members can also contribute by volunteering in support of HHSO events like Symphony Under the Stars, International Piano Competition, Youth Concerto Competition and Youth Concerts.
