A combination of performance, meeting and corporate space, SoundWaves is the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra’s new island headquarters. Floorplans for the venue feature a designated performance area with capacity of 224, executive conference room, state-of-the-art catering kitchen and multi-media library. SoundWaves will host seasonal signature HHSO performances, as well as community events, offering opportunities for technical support and partnership marketing.


SoundWaves is located at 7 Lagoon Road, just steps from Hilton Head Island’s oceanfront Forest Beach neighborhood and Coligny Plaza shops and cafes.


Now Hilton Head Island’s newest performing arts center, SoundWaves will open its doors for the HHSO’s 37th annual orchestra season along with the SoundBites series, Lean Ensemble performances, local musician performances and many other community-based arts collaborations.


SoundWaves is scheduled to open its doors in late September. With an ambitious construction schedule underway, the exterior façade has been completed while the interior performance space, conference room and corporate offices continue take shape throughout the summer months.


Through SoundWaves, HHSO strives to elevate its current mission:  To inspire audiences through outstanding and accessible orchestral music; to enrich youth programs and young musicians through opportunities to perform and be recognized; to unite community efforts by collaborating with other cultural organizations, celebrating our unique cultural heritage and promoting the Lowcountry as an arts and cultural destination.
