(Doors open at 6pm; dinner at 6:30pm; concert at 7:30pm)
Jimy Barrios, vocals, guitar
Erik Casanova, vocals
Camilo Florido, Emcee
Accompanied by a salivating three-course meal provided by Tio’s Latin American Kitchen, imagine this flavorful evening of Hispanic culture as a tapas offering of food and music representing various Spanish-speaking countries including Argentinian tango, Mexican Mariachi, and rhythmic grooves evoking Central American countries Colombia, Venezuela, and even Jamaica.
Celebrate with concert Emcee, Camilo Florido, the print launch of US Nosostros, connecting people through powerful storytelling of diverse experiences and shared dreams uniting us all.
Throughout this special evening we’ll have a presenter who will briefly explain in English the beauty and cultural richness behind each region’s native sounds. According to Florido, “It’s a celebration of diversity through music, and a great opportunity to share stories, rhythms, and traditions with the community.”
Erik Casanova, a Mexican artist known as the “Ambassador of Mariachi.” He is part of Jara Récords musical family and has participated in important events such as “Cocula 2025,” promoting Mexican music around the world. Joining Erik is Jimy Barrios, born in Bogotá, who began his artistic training at an early age, immersing himself in the folkloric musical roots of Colombia and becoming an internationally acclaimed artist, now working as part of the group Mochilla Groove.
Supper for this one is provided by Executive Chef Lynden Zuniga of Tio’s Latin American Kitchen. Starting off the evening with a classic house salad as a first course, followed by offering entrée selections of grilled North Atlantic salmon topped with avocado salsa and chimichurri sauce, served with cilantro lime rice and vegetables (GF); poblanos: two roasted poblano peppers filled with Cuban style roasted pork topped with borracha sauce and queso, served with rice & beans; and a vegan dinner: cilantro lime rice, black beans, seasoned vegetables, sweet plantains and yuca served with fresh corn tortillas and a trio of salsas (V) (GF). Finishing the experience with Churros for dessert, a lightly fried Mexican pastry.
