This month at Coastal Home Supper Club, musical worlds collide with the celebrated Lowcountry return of pianist Aaron Lehrian, longtime member of Savannah’s New Orleans-style Equinox Jazz Orchestra, performing in collaboration with Anaïs Reno, New York-based jazz singer and 2026 American Traditions Competition Silver Medalist. The duo promises a memorable romp through the Great American Songbook, featuring above all, music of Anaïs’ favorites: Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn.
New York-Based Jazz Singer And Composer, Anaïs Reno, has been artistically very active, involved in the performing arts since age 8. After winning the 2016 Forte International Competition’s platinum award at Carnegie Hall, she won the Jazz Award n The American Traditions Vocal Competition, The Mabel Mercer Competition and The Julie Wilson Award.
Studying voice since 2013 with Sarah Tolar as a recipient of the Recanati-Kaplan Scholarship Program at the 92nd Street Y as well as with her Father, a former opera singer, Anaïs graduated in the Spring of 2021 from LaGuardia High School, studying drama, and now attends SUNY Purchase, studying jazz voice and operatic technique with Sherry Overholt as an Ella Fitzgerald Scholar.
Supper for this one is provided by Chef Brooks Rinehart of Healthy Culinary Concepts LLC, offering entrée selections grilled portobello Napoleon, shaved parmesan risotto and balsamic glazed asparagus (V)(GF); low country boil skewers, shaved parmesan risotto and balsamic glazed asparagus (GF); and garlic herb chicken breast with lemon butter, shaved parmesan risotto and balsamic glazed asparagus (GF).
