Celebrating a new partnership with the renowned American Traditions Vocal Collection this new high energy three-concert cabaret series pays homage to legendary vocal hits of Broadway and American musical styles beyond. Curated by Mikki Sodergren, 2014 American Traditions Competition winner and ATC Executive and Artistic Director, this series features select ATC gold medal laureates. Each will sing the greatest of America’s stage music supplemented by their own affinities for a variety of American styles, and they all will be backed by a talented rhythm section of the Lowcountry’s best.  

2023 ATC Gold Medalist, Alysha Umphress, who played Hildy in Broadway’s On the Town and has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle and the San Francisco Symphony under Michael Tilson Thomas.  She also boasts TV credits that include an appearance on Law and Order SVU.  Alysha will give us a bluesy variation to the conclusion of this mini-series snapshot of Broadway.  Alysha’s program includes Broadway favorites from South Pacific, Oklahoma, Funny Girl, Anything Goes, City of Angels, On The Town, and more… 

Three course meals will be provided by Rock Fish Seafood and Steaks at Bombas in Coligny, offering main entrée choices of fettucine alfredo with asparagus (V); shrimp and grits with collard greens (GF); and mojo roast pork with cilantro rice, mixed teriyaki vegetables and pineapple salsa (GF).  The evening opens with a veggie spring roll with plum barbecue and local micro green (V) and concludes with strawberry short cake for dessert.
