The mission of the League of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra is to support and promote the orchestra and its associated programs. 
We invite you to join in our programs and share in our camaraderie.

The League of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra was established in 1997. Throughout the year, league members support the HHSO through participation in fundraising, special events, music education, and volunteer services to encourage community awareness and appreciation of the orchestra and its associated programs. 

As a member, you will receive an invitation to support the League by participating in our ever-popular Musicales.  There are numerous recitals performed in homes or special venues around Hilton Head and may include performances of jazz, individual soloists from the orchestra, or popular music with vocalists.  You will also have the opportunity to participate in other League-sponsored events, including our fall kick-off League Brunch and the spring “Kitchens of Note” event held annually.

Our main fundraiser each year is the Swing Fore the Symphony, a magnificent golf tournament drawing over 100 avid golfers from across the Low Country. The tournament event also includes a wonderful reception and silent as well as a live auction for golf enthusiasts and supporters of the symphony.  (Please see additional information in the “Events” tab).

Volunteers are at the heart of our organization. Our board members plan events and help provide volunteers for many Symphony events, including Symphony Under the Stars, the Concours d’Elegance, and the Kitchens of Note Tour. Additionally, we host post-concert receptions for concert attendees and performers. There are many ways to get involved; learn more about our volunteer opportunities here.  Each year is capped off with our very popular Spring Fling, a combined annual meeting and party where we celebrate our successful efforts to support the HHSO.
