SoundWaves premieres its newest cabaret series, with Holiday Strings: I’ll Be Bach For Christmas, an elegant evening of our outstanding HHSO principal string members performing seasonal musical favorites such as Lo’ How a Rose E’er Blooming, Winter Wonderland, and Last Christmas all arranged for string quartet as well as delightful light classical selections by Corelli, Bach, and others. Top off the evening by joining a full audience holiday singalong.

 

What is SoundWaves Chamber Music Series? SoundWaves Chamber Music Series is a new set of dinner and concert evenings highlighted by music written or arranged for small ensemble performed for an exclusive audience in the warm intimacy of SoundWaves. Curated by HHSO concertmaster, Micah Gangwer, each of this season’s three concert events is preceded by a locally catered dinner comprised of a complimentary beverage, three meal options, and dessert, complete with availability of a cash bar of wine, beer, and soft drinks.

 

Tour guide and Chef Nettie Williams, previously concierge manager at Marriott Vacations Worldwide and food and beverage manager at Hilton Head Island’s Grand Ocean Resort, has prepared entrée selections including a seafood platter of shrimp kabobs, crab cake and scallops with steamed vegetable medley, Caesar salad and Texas toast (GF); pan seared bone-in pork chop with sweet potato casserole, sautéed mixture of greens and mustards and buttered corn bread; and vegetarian stew with broccoli salad and buttered corn bread (V).
