 Building upon its 2023 album release, A Joyous Opus, the Aaron Lehrian Trio will serve an intoxicating mix of jazz standards with reinterpretations of classical gems. The evening will even include Lehrian originals, improvisational musical cocktails directly inspired by the melodies of Debussy, Copland, Brahms, and other classical titans.

Supper for this one is provided by Fish Casual Coastal Seafood, our neighbors here in Coligny Plaza, offering entrée selections of herb roasted chicken breast, red pepper coulis, couscous, with roasted vegetables; sauteed salmon, lemon basil cream, couscous, with roasted vegetables; and roasted potato hash with Vegetable Napoleon (V) (GF).

More About the Artists:

Aaron Lehrian – Piano

Florida native Aaron Lehrian is an acclaimed jazz pianist celebrated for his melodic creativity and storytelling approach to music. Winner of the 2014 Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition, he has performed with the Savannah Philharmonic, Jacksonville Symphony, and Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra. His debut album, A Joyous Opus, earned four stars from DownBeat magazine. Now based in Savannah, Lehrian continues to captivate audiences with his expressive, innovative performances.

Stefan Klein – Drums

Jacksonville-based drummer Stefan Klein is known for his dynamic style and versatility across jazz and contemporary music. A graduate of the University of North Florida’s renowned jazz program, he has studied with leading artists and performed widely throughout the Southeast. Klein appears regularly with the Patrick Bartley Trio and the Aaron Lehrian Trio, earning recognition as a rising force in modern jazz.

Stan Piper – Bass

Chicago-born bassist Stan Piper is praised for his melodic touch and rhythmic precision. He holds a master’s in jazz studies from Florida State University and teaches bass at Jacksonville University. Piper has performed with jazz greats including Marcus Roberts, Jason Marsalis, Arturo Sandoval, and Slide Hampton, and currently performs with the North Florida salsa ensemble LPT. His artistry bridges the worlds of jazz and Latin music with skill and soul.
