Personal Musical Responsibilities:

HHYOPlease be aware of your child's personal responsibilities:

Students must learn music at home so that rehearsal time may be spent on musical concepts. Parents are asked to help students design an effective, regular practice schedule.

Players who appear to be inadequately prepared on a regular basis may be reseated or dismissed from the orchestra.

Students are strongly encouraged to participate in their school orchestra and/or band.

Students are also required to take private music lessons. (If financial help is needed, ask the Music Director about the HHSO Scholarship Lesson Program which is outlined below.) Please ask the Music Director, your school music teacher or the HHSO office (843-842-2055) for names of qualified private instructors.
