CONCERTMASTER
Terry Moore
Terry Moore has served as concertmaster for the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra since 2004 and previously served as Concertmaster of the Hilton Head Orchestra from 1993-1999.
For nine years previous to that Mr. Moore was Concertmaster of the Florida Orchestra where he was Assistant Conductor and co-founder of the youth orchestra in Tampa. Along with being a member of the Toronto Symphony and the Savannah Symphony, Moore has performed with orchestras in Richmond, Aspen, Grand Rapids, Flagstaff and the Sarasota Opera.
A native of Rochester, Minn., Mr. Moore has music degrees from Indiana University and the Catholic University of America. He has studied with Daniel Guilet, Dorothy DeLay and Lorand Fenyves. He served in the U.S. Army "Strolling Strings," performing frequently in the White House for the president.
Mr. Moore is married to cellist Sarah Schenkman, who has also been featured as a soloist in the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra concerts. |
